Sw. Dileep Kumar Smarak Mahavidyalaya is located near Jahanabad in Fatehpur initial the border of Kanpur nagar, the nearest railway station from the college in Ghatampur which is in the Kanpur-chitrakoot track. The nearest bus station is at Jahanabad. This college is affiliated to Prof. Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhayya) University, Prayagraj U.P. and also inrolled in UGC in 2f and 12(B). This college was established in the year 2002 in the memory of famous social worker Late Dileep Kumar Sachan in 2003 CSJMU Kanpur gave affiliation for under graduation in these subjects – Sociology, Political science, English literature, Geography, Education, Hindi Literature and Economics. CSJMU gave affiliation for B.Sc. under the self finance scheme in 2009.
In 2005 NCTE gave permission to starts, B.Ed. course in the college and after this is 2007 CSJMU Kanpur gave affiliation for B.Ed. course. NCTE also gave permission to start B.T.C. course in 2009 and government gave recognition in 2012 for B.T.C. college has got affiliation M.A. (Hindi) in 2015 there are about 2300 student in our college in which about 54% students are female.
College is situated in such kind of geographical situation where any body can reach easily through bus and train. Under this faculty lot of students take admission in B.Ed. and B.T.C. course from nab our districts.
College has a big campus and also has agricultural land out side campus. College has botanical garden seminar hall, auditorium, big sports ground, and sports ground for female. College has enough physical resources college has library, reading room, and well equipped labs related to various departments. In our library daily news papers, weekly magazine, monthly magazine, journals, are available for the students. There are separate seating arrangements for disabled. Institution has a separate administrative building in which principal office, offices of clerk are situated. In science faculty there are two labs of chemistry, one of zoology, one of botany and one of physics, B.Ed. department has science lab psychology lab, language lab, Art and Craft Lab and in art faculty there in geography lab. College is finest furnished with separate toilets for male and female. Art and craft, health center and musical lab are also situated in the college.
Today India is a developing country. It is my firm belief that we will emerge as a powerful developed nation in the world and education will play an important roll in this development. We have a vision to provide value added education to all students especially to the poor and the students of weaker sections of the society. I am satisfied with the performance of the college.
